| PRESS RELEASE FROM WISSOTA | August 30, 2009 |
| Races Of Champions return to WISSOTA 100 event, providing racers with cash & prestige and fans with a thrilling Friday night program HURON, SD - The return to a single location in 2009 for WISSOTA’s premier racing event, the Speedway Motors WISSOTA 100, has created the opportunity for the famed “Race Of Champions” events to be plugged back into the huge weekend program. The Speedway Motors WISSOTA 100 is being held from September 16-19. If you are a driver, this is a great opportunity to make extra cash, grab a massive trophy and pad your racing resume with an impressive title. If you are a fan, this means you get to see the best against the best in an allstar event on Friday night of the WISSOTA 100 weekend. It’s just another great reason to get to Huron for the WISSOTA 100. There is no other event anywhere which will include this many track champions head-to-head. The Race Of Champions, which was hugely popular in the formative years of the WISSOTA 100 event, returns in 2009. Every WISSOTA track champion in every AMSOIL Dirt Track Series division is invited to Dakota State Fair Speedway to run in the Races Of Champions as well as all of the other races running from Wednesday, September 16 through Saturday, September 19. In addition, former WISSOTA 100 champions and Challenge Series champions will have an opportunity to run in the Races Of Champions. A number of tracks have already crowned their 2009 champions and the rest of the nearly 60 WISSOTA member tracks will do the same in the next week. If you are in the hunt for a track championship, or you’ve already secured it, add the WISSOTA 100 to your calendar and point your racing rig toward Huron for the Speedway Motors WISSOTA 100. The WISSOTA 100 event begins with an open practice night on Tuesday, September 15. All drivers who wish to get their cars tuned up for the coming four nights of high octane action are encouraged to attend the practice session, because there won’t be nightly hot lap sessions. The Races Of Champions will be contested on Friday night, September 18. Twenty-four cars are expected to start the Race Of Champions in each division. All five track champions from host track Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, SD have indicated that they will be in attendance. Late Model champion Chad Becker of Aberdeen, SD, Modified champion Joel Waba of Watertown, SD, Super Stock champion Gary Brown, Jr. of Sioux Falls, SD, Midwest Modified champion Corey Elward of Mitchell, SD and Street Stock champion Josh Tangen of Bruce, SD were the first confirmed drivers for the Race Of Champions line-up. They are going to be tough to beat on the track they’ve raced every week during 2009. Joining them will be drivers from as far east and as far west as WISSOTA country stretches. Black Hills Speedway Late Model champion John Bey of Sturgis, SD has committed to being there, and so has Red River Valley Speedway (ND) champ Jeremy Keller; Modified track champions such as Eagle Valley Speedway (WI) top gun Kevin “Buzzy” Adams of Cameron, WI and Black Hills Speedway (SD) Champion Rex Conrad of Rapid City, SD will be there. And add Blake Jegtvig, the Mod champion from Norman County Raceway (MN) and Red River Valley Speedway (ND). Todd Carter, the Red River Valley Speedway (ND)?Super Stock champion will also be on hand at the WISSOTA 100. Former national champion and 2009 WISSOTA Street Stock track champion Cory Crapser of Chippewa Falls, WI?has committed to represent Eagle Valley Speedway (WI) in the Race Of Champions.
